This Dog Couldn’t Stop Hugging His New Owner After Being Saved From Abusive People

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet like a dog is a truly gut-wrenching experience. No amount of preparation can soften the blow.
Thoughts swirl in your mind, wondering if you did everything you could for them, if you were the best owner possible. The pain of loss is inevitable, but there are small ways to find solace.
In the case of the Mccraws, a glimmer of light emerged in the shape of a new furry companion – a rescue dog named Maggie, who greeted them with boundless joy and love.

Following the heartbreaking loss of their cherished dog, Mischka, to cancer, the McCraw family was left reeling with grief. However, their spirits were lifted when a sweet pup named Maggie entered their lives, courtesy of Halfway There Rescue in South Carolina. The moment they met Maggie, the family knew she was meant to be a part of their home. Mary McCraw shared with The Dodo how Maggie immediately won them over, despite their initial doubts about welcoming a new furry friend so soon after their previous dog’s passing. From the very first meeting, it was clear that Maggie and the McCraw family were meant to be together. Maggie wasted no time in showering her new human dad, Mark, with love and gratitude, solidifying their bond and affirming that she was truly a part of their family.

After learning about Maggie’s past as a breeding dog who was abused and then abandoned, the McCraws were appalled. Rescued and given a loving foster home by Andra Mack, Maggie slowly regained her trust in humans. Mack described Maggie as one of the sweetest dogs they had ever fostered. When Maggie met her new dad, it was a moment that felt like it was out of a movie. The McCraws were delighted to adopt Maggie and welcome her into her forever home in South Carolina.

Mary McCraws from The Dodo remarked on the undeniable bond between Mack and the dog in the video. She expressed that it seemed like fate had brought them together, with a ray of sunshine shining down as a sign of approval from their previous dog, Mischka. In moments like this, we are grateful for the kind-hearted individuals who stepped in to help a dog in need and vowed to provide her with care and love. Best wishes to them as they embark on new journeys together.
