The Colombian superstar shared a picture of herself where she bared it all, with only her golden locks to cover her and a tattoo that read “Laundry Service.”
The picture represented the cover art for her album of the same name, her first English language record, as she marked its milestone 20th anniversary.
“Happy 20th birthday Laundry Service. Thank you for everything. X #LaundryService20,” she simply captioned the post in a heartfelt manner.
The record was responsible for propelling the singer to the mainstream and turned her into a worldwide sensation, bolstered by hit songs like Whenever, Wherever, Underneath Your Clothes, and Objection (Tango).
On Monday, September 7, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer took to Instagram to show off her incredible figure in a stylish purple fringe ʙικιɴι.
“This is a new bathing suit I designed and my friend Bego made for me,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. “I always need to create my own for the summer!”
Posing with her head over one shoulder, the Colombian beauty stands under a shaded cabana on a white sandy beach with beautiful blue water in the background.
As gorgeous as the setting is, it’s the stylish suit we can’t help but admire! Between the lovely lavender hue and the unique details, this look is not your average swimsuit.
Another commented: “This album made me fall in love with you,” with a third saying: “Wow 20th so good,” and one adding: “Yaaaaaaas! You have to drop something like this again pleeeease.”
The Rabiosa singer has been celebrating her album’s milestone anniversary over the weekend, even including a clip featuring an interview segment she did while looking back on the record.
The 2020 Super Bowl Half Time performer also shared the pictures to Twitter, generating even more positive reactions from followers. “I am seriously impressed by your shape,” wrote one user. “You are older than me and sport a far healthier physique. Respect.”
The dancing video wasn’t the only exciting thing the “Waka Waka” singer shared on social media recently, as two days later, on August 28th, she revealed that she will be this year’s recipient of the highly esteemed VMA Video Vanguard Award.
It’s a very sought after award, with previous recipients including Nicki Minaj, who was last year’s recipient, as well Beyoncé, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, and Rihanna, among so many others. Shakira’s incredible career will be celebrated at the VMAs on Tuesday, September 12th on MTV, where she will also be performing. We can’t wait!
