A kitten with a tuxedo coat, whose eyes seemed to hold the depths of the ocean, began to regain his vision.
Two adorable kittens, just three weeks old, were saved from an animal shelter in hopes of finding a brighter future. One of the kittens had eyes that seemed to hold the vastness of an ocean within them.
Jamie, a dedicated foster parent for Baby Kitten Rescue, welcomed the kittens into her home with love and care. At first, it was believed that the tuxedo kitten might be blind. However, much to everyone’s delight, he proved them wrong with a surprising revelation in the days that followed.
The little tuxedo kitten’s feline sister showed a special bond with him, always drawn to his side. She would follow him around, curling her arms around him when they settled down for a nap. Their connection was truly heartwarming and a joy to witness.
Jamie provided care for the kittens, addressing their stomach problems and ensuring they were well-fed and comfortable in a roomy nursery filled with nutritious food and plenty of affection. Despite being smaller than expected for their age, Bamm Bamm and Pebbles showed great determination to survive. The bond between the tuxedo kitten and the black kitten was so strong that they would always seek each other out if they were not together.
After a couple of days of fostering, Jamie noticed something special about Bamm. He began to track the movement of objects and tried to pounce on them. As a precaution against infections, Bamm started receiving daily eye drops shortly after arriving.
Over the following days, there was a noticeable improvement in his eyesight as Jamie observed his increasing skill in detecting movements. The team at the rescue center celebrated the tuxedo cat’s progress with cheers of joy. An expert was able to identify that Bamm was suffering from corneal ulcers, likely stemming from an infection he had before his eyes fully developed.
@thekittensfoster was about to start a new treatment with a serum, alongside his usual eye drops, with the hope of improving his vision. The serum is made from the blood of healthy cats who have special antibodies that can help heal corneal ulcers and repair damage.
Bamm Bamm and Pebbles, the adorable little kittens in our care, have come a long way since we first started fostering them. Bamm Bamm, who was mostly blind at the beginning, can now see clearly and confidently navigates his surroundings. After a month with us, these two siblings are eager for their next adventure and are inseparable, craving attention and love. Follow along with their journey at @thekittensfoster!
According to Jamie, Bamm no longer requires any help and is no longer classified as having special needs. Jamie mentioned that if they had not started treatment promptly, Bamm could have experienced complete vision loss. Even though Bamm could have still lived a fulfilling life, now he has the opportunity to experience the beauty of the world, which Jamie considers to be a precious blessing.
A couple of days back, the rescue organization was thrilled to hear the news they were eagerly anticipating – the kittens have finally found their ideal forever home, together.
“After meeting their new family, it was evident that they were the perfect match. Both parents have remote jobs, and Bamm and Pebbles now have two new human siblings who absolutely adore them.”
@thekittensfoster shared that Bamm has great eyesight and doesn’t require any additional treatment. The doctor mentioned that the cloudiness in his eyes is something he was born with, but it doesn’t seem to cause him any issues as he can navigate around just fine.
Then and now with @thekittensfoster: “Matching our fosters with their forever families brings us immense joy. Saying goodbye is bittersweet, but it’s comforting to know they will be showered with the same love and care that we’ve given them.”
